This is designed for smallholders and hobby farmers who would like to own sheep but don’t know where to start. Regulations, breeds, health, vaccinations, feeding, breeding & lambing will all be covered to equip participants with the knowledge to confidently embark on sheep ownership and wool management.

All About Wool
Understanding and learning about sheep wool from start to finish is hugely advantageous if planning to partake in fibre arts such as spining, weaving, knitting or crocheting. The broad knowledge gained in this course creates and informs of the multiple, labour intensive steps in processing wool from sheep to fibre.

All About Needle Felting
An ancient textile art, needle felting is for those who like to work on small-scaled projects that use simple tools. It is a slow, gentle almost meditative process. You will comb and card wool from our sheep here, and learn how to felt it step-by-step.

All About Wool Wet Felting
An ancient craft dating back to 6500 BC, no glues, solvents or chemicals are used in this process, only the natural characteristics of wool, hot water and soap. Using sheep fleece from the flock of rare breed sheep here on the farm, learn how to felt raw fleece into beautiful home textiles.
